Caddora Golf finds the shots you are leaving out there.

Caddora Golf is an iPhone app that reads a golfer's scorecards, swing analysis and range sessions together, then says the one thing to work on next — measured against golfers of the same handicap and sex, not a tour average. It is in private beta, and it is made in Ireland by John Sheehy.

What's different

Not another place to log a score.

It diagnoses, not just records

Scorecards, swings and range numbers feed one profile. Caddora Coach ranks what is costing shots — greens in regulation, penalty strokes, fairways — and says which to work on first.

Measured against golfers like you

Every plan carries a benchmark drawn from golfers of the same handicap and sex, so a twelve-handicapper is not held to a tour player's numbers. A fault clears from the plan once the benchmark is reached.

Recording is free. Reading it is the pass.

Rounds, bag and swings stay free and stay yours whether you pay or not. One Premium Pass unlocks the interpretation — no Plus and Pro tiers to choose between.

How it works

Capture → Understand → Practise → Improve

Scan a paper scorecard or enter a round hole by hole. Record a swing on the phone and Caddora measures it. Type in the numbers from a launch monitor once.

On the course, the caddie gives plays-like yardage, wind and temperature, and the club your own carry data backs. Afterwards, Caddora Coach ranks where the shots are going and picks the drill.

  1. 01

    Capture

Rounds, swings and range work feed one profile.

A captured swing with its spine angle measured against the recommended range
  2. 02

    Understand

One fault traced from swing to range to course.

The Opportunities screen: 3.7 shots a round on the table, the fault currently being worked on, and the three to work on ranked by what each is worth
  3. 03

    Practise

Drills chosen by what your own numbers say.

The drill for Lead Knee Buckle — half swings with the lead leg firm, what it should feel like, and a Re-test button to film it again
  4. 04

    Improve

Proof the change is holding, swing by swing.

The Progress tab for Lead Knee Buckle. How often the fault was found in each driver session over a fortnight: 33 per cent on 8 Sep, 25 per cent on 11 Sep, 20 per cent on 15 Sep, 11 per cent on 18 Sep, 7 per cent on 21 Sep — 26 points down since 8 Sep. Privacy

Most of it never leaves the phone.

Rounds, scores, bag, range sessions and on-course position are stored on the iPhone and not uploaded. Swing analysis runs on the device. Sharing swing measurements and footage to improve the analysis is a single switch that is on by default and can be turned off at any time, and anything shared is deleted after 7 days.

A scanned scorecard photo is sent only to be read — names and signatures are cut out first where possible — and the photograph is not kept. The free app carries advertising, but no golf data reaches the ad network; the Premium Pass removes ads entirely. The full policy is at caddoragolf.com/privacy.
