Getting in touch
Email [email protected]. There is no ticket queue and no support bot — it is one person, and you will get a reply from them.
If something went wrong in the app, the three things that make it quickest to sort out are: which iPhone you have, what you were doing when it happened, and roughly when. If it was a swing, the fastest route of all is the Report a problem button on that swing's breakdown, which sends the measurements with it so the swing can be looked at directly.
02
Recording a swing that analyses well
Almost every disappointing analysis comes down to how the phone was set up rather than to the swing.
- Height — Between 100 cm and 115 cm off the ground. This matters more than it sounds: the same swing filmed at 130 cm reads measurably flatter, so keeping the height the same between sessions is what makes two sessions comparable.
- Keep it still — A tripod is best, but anything that holds the phone steady will do. If the phone is moved or knocked while recording, that recording is discarded on purpose — a camera that moves makes the measurements meaningless rather than slightly wrong.
- Angle — Face-on or down the line. Both are analysed, but they measure different things, so tell the app which one you used and compare like with like afterwards.
- Framing — Your whole body in frame at address, with room above your head for the club at the top.
- Wait for Ready — The app arms itself between shots and tells you when it is listening.
03
My swing was not saved
The app records continuously and keeps what looks like a swing, so some recordings are deliberately thrown away. The usual reasons:
- It was a waggle or a tee-up — Bending to tee a ball looks a lot like a swing starting. These are discarded rather than counted, which is why the number of swings can be lower than the number of balls hit.
- The phone moved — Any recording where the phone moved is discarded, even if there was a good swing in it. If a tripod gets knocked mid-set, that shot is gone.
- Body tracking could not keep up — In poor light or an awkward angle the app can lose track of you. It says so rather than guessing at a swing it could not see.
04
It says it could not judge my swing
That is deliberate, and it is not a fault in the app or in your swing.
Each thing Caddora looks for needs to be able to see particular parts of your body at particular points in the swing. When the camera did not see enough — a hand hidden behind your body, a frame lost at the top — the app declines to give a verdict rather than producing a number it cannot stand over.
If it happens on every swing in a session, the setup is usually the cause: check the height, the angle, and that you are fully in frame.
05
Analysis is slow, or my phone gets warm
Analysing a swing is real work for the phone, and a long range session can make an iPhone warm enough that it slows itself down. That is iOS protecting the phone, not the app failing.
The practical fix is to leave the capture screen between sets. Caddora does its tidying up — shrinking old videos, uploading anything you have chosen to share — only when you are not recording, so a session where you never leave the screen leaves all of that to pile up.
06
Storage, and what gets removed
Swing video is large and the analysis is not, so the app keeps the analysis and manages the video for you. Recent swings keep their full-quality video; older ones are shrunk to a smaller copy. Everything the app measured stays either way, so an old swing still has its breakdown and still counts towards your progress.
The oldest swings also lose their frame-by-frame body tracking after a while, which is what makes the drawn overlay possible. The measurements, the faults and the history all remain.
You can free space yourself from Swing AI, under Share swing data.
07
A reading or a fault looks wrong
Please report it. On the swing's breakdown there is a Report a problem with this swing button, which sends the measurements for that swing so it can be looked at properly rather than guessed at.
Reports are read. Several things in the app were fixed because a golfer said a drawing was on the wrong leg or a detection had latched onto something in the background.
08
A scanned scorecard came out wrong
Check the scores on the review screen before you save — that screen exists because reading handwriting from a photograph is not perfect, and it is much easier to fix a digit there than after the round is saved.
Scans work best on a flat, evenly lit card photographed square on. A folded card photographed at an angle is the hardest case.
09
A course has the wrong tees or yardages
You can fix it. Photograph the tee board or the scorecard and the app will read the yardages, par and stroke index off it.
Corrections are shared, so fixing a course improves it for everyone who plays it next. That also means they are checked rather than applied instantly.
10
Left-handed golfers
Set your handedness in your profile and the swing analysis reads your swing the right way round — it knows which arm is leading and which hip is the lead hip.

Purchases and subscriptions
Purchases are handled by Apple, not by us. If you have paid and the app does not know it — after reinstalling, or on a new phone — use Restore purchases in the app.
To see, change or cancel a subscription, open the iOS Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions. We cannot cancel or refund from our side; refunds are requested from Apple.
12
Your data, and deleting it
Most of what the app records never leaves your iPhone. The privacy policy sets out every occasion when something does, and there are not many of them.
Deleting the app removes everything held on the phone, which is the fastest way to erase the lot. If you have shared swing measurements and want them removed from our side as well, email [email protected] and say so.
13
What you need
An iPhone running iOS 15.1 or later, and something to stand the phone against when you record a swing.
The swing analysis runs on the phone itself, so it works at a range with no signal. Finding a course, scanning a card and anything shared do need a connection.
